Mission Statement
The Association believes that:
Harness Racing is an integral component of the racing industry in the state of Victoria currently and in the future.
Harness Racing is an exciting pursuit for participants and an asset to the community as a recreational outlet.
The integrity of the industry must be upheld by both participants and administrators.
The diverse range of participants in the industry brings with it a wide and important range of views that should be respected and listened to through real consultative processes.
Both administrators and participants should strive to ensure the prosperity of the industry.
Objectives
To represent the fair and legitimate interests of participants in the harness racing industry.
To provide an avenue for free expression of opinion on matters associated with harness racing.
To work towards cooperation between the various bodies and organisations within the State of Victoria associated with and/or forming part of the harness racing industry.
To foster a better understanding of harness racing by the general public.
To identify opportunities for the ongoing development and future prosperity of the harness racing industry.
To maintain a watching brief on issues relating to the wellbeing of horses.
